These plates have been designed and manufactured for extreme durability, dead bounce safety, and modern gym aesthetics.

Polyurethane Bumper Plates are quickly becoming the perfect investment for home gyms and commercial spaces due to their significant advantages over traditional Rubber Bumpers. Compared to rubber, polyurethane has a higher density and durometer rating (90) which means it has superior impact resistance which causes an ideal ‘dead bounce’ on appropriate flooring.

Polyurethane is a greater long-term investment as it will uphold its condition and continue to look vibrant for years due to its resistance to markings and abrasions, unlike rubber, which is easily scuffed by flooring, handprints, and chalk.  

SMAI Elite Pro Bumper Plates have greater loading capabilities too. Elite Pro plates are slimmer than rubber plates, so you can load more on a single barbell. Additionally aided by a 140mm chrome insert with rounded edges for sleeve protection and easily mounting and removing plates.
